How to Pack Glassware for Moving

Glassware breaks easily if packed wrong. Here's the exact technique our crew uses on every move.

Drinking glasses, tumblers and everyday glassware seem sturdy until they're rattling around a moving box. The trick isn't bubble wrap — it's the right box, the right wrapping, and making sure nothing can shift. In this video our crew walks through the exact method we use to get glassware to its new home unscratched and intact.

Watch the video above, then follow the checklist below.

The professional glassware-packing checklist

  • Use cell (divided) boxes so each glass is protected on its own.
  • Wrap each glass in two sheets of packing paper before it goes in.
  • Pack glasses upright — never on their sides.
  • Fill all dead space with crumpled paper so nothing can shift.
  • Don't overfill — a box that's too heavy is a box that gets dropped.

Moving a whole kitchen's worth of fragile items? Our professional packing service wraps, boxes and insures it all — so nothing arrives broken.
